Budgets are cut, companies are doing layoffs and the news cycle is painful and stressful. Some days it feels like the walls are closing in and the market is tanking. I was always pretty good about remaining even keeled emotionally, but you can still only take so much. Blocking out the noise becomes more difficult as it gets even louder.
If there is any comfort here it is that most sellers and especially your competitors are also feeling that exact same way.
Unfortunately so are you customers. They have the same pressures and the same stresses as you and in the case of my current industry they have exponentially more- from zero budget, to massive IT risks, teacher attrition and the fact that they are literally teaching the future of our country. So the pressure is on.
This is exactly why the best thing you can do is to lean into your mission. Do you know who you serve? Do you know what problems you solve? Do you know WHY you are doing this? The second you go from just trying to make money to trying to solve more customers problems to even trying to shape the future of their world the better, and more successful you will be.
Your mission is everything!
